Citronelle Memorial Library was formed in June 1893 using 500 donated books and an annual fee of $1.00 for their use. Today, the Library is fully accredited in Mobile County and in the Alabama Public Library System.

In addition to books, the library offers a video collection, and computers for public use along with free Wi-Fi.  A printer/copier/fax machine is available. Black and white copies are 25 cents each, color 50 cents each, faxes are $1.00 per page to send or receive.
